This book covers the career of British television writer Trevor Griffiths through different voices and institutions, via: the shifting terrain of academic discourse in media and cultural studies; newspaper reviews; Griffiths' own written exegesis of his texts; intertextuality, as his television and theatre works have cited and engaged with each other as part of his authorship; different audience responses; and the institutional powers which have prevented some key works of Griffiths' ever reaching the screen.
