Textiles, Merchandising & Design Minor

The Textiles, Merchandising, and Design Program is a candidacy program and admission is required for those seeking a TXMD minor. Students may declare a minor in Textiles, Merchandising, and Design by specifying either an Apparel Design or Fashion Merchandising Concentration.

Prior to applying for admissions, TXMD minors must complete the pre-admissions requirements, which consists of General Education and TXMD courses. Students then apply for admission to the TXMD professional sequence of courses. When a student applies for admission, is accepted, and becomes enrolled, he/she is then classified as a TXMD minor admitted to the program and can then progress in required TXMD professional sequence courses. TXMD minors must earn a grade of C (2.0) or higher in all TXMD courses. Students earning a D or F will be required to repeat the course before being allowed to advance in the program.
