Buerstetta, Richard A.

Richard died in the line of duty at age 20 on October 23, 2006, in Fallujah, Iraq. Cpl. Richard Buerstetta was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, and died in Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar Province. His family has memorialized his service with the naming of a bridge on Highway 100 in the City of Fairview, now the "Lance Corporal Richard A. Buerstetta Memorial Bridge."
