Biographical Note
Vera Gambill Ellis was born in Coffee County, Tennessee on October 23, 1891 and died on December 16, 1964. She was among the first students to attend Middle Tennessee State Normal and graduated in 1915.
Scope and Content
The Vera Gambill Ellis Papers cover her time as a student at Middle Tennessee State Normal before her graduation in 1915. The papers are arranged by series. The only dates recorded are 1914 and 1915, as well as a periodical from 1923. The collection contains primarily class and laboratory notes recorded in composition books and textbooks. Also included is an issue of The Normalite, a literary magazine from the University's early years.
